最近，海航集团将花费65亿美元从黑石集团的关联公司收购希尔顿约25%的股权，此次交易完成后，海航集团将成为希尔顿的单一最大股东，而希尔顿是目前全球最大的酒店管理集团之一。
去年，安邦保险以19.5亿美元收购了纽约的华道夫酒店，并曾试图收购喜达屋和美国的其他酒店。而美国酒店业之所以受到中资青睐，大致的原因是中资有对冲汇率风险的需求，同时对美国酒店业的预期回报率又较高。
随着国内企业资本积累的初步完成，并购整合已成为产业发展的内在需求。而在人民币贬值趋势未改、国内资产荒局面仍在蔓延的双重影响下，中资出海寻找高收益资产的行为自然很容易理解。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
