万达酒店及度假村成立于2012年，如今是一家集酒店业主、自营管理和品牌输出三种经营模式为一体的国际豪华酒店管理集团。公司旗下拥有四个自主管理品牌 ---- 超奢华品牌万达瑞华、奢华品牌万达文华、豪华品牌万达嘉华和四星级标准品牌万达锦华。截至2016年底，万达已在国内持有超过100家高端酒店，包括国际五大酒店集团（雅高、希尔顿、凯悦、洲际、万豪）管理的商务酒店、度假酒店和自营品牌酒店。同时万达早已进军海外市场，位于黄金海岸、伦敦、洛杉矶、芝加哥、悉尼的万达文华酒店将于2018年底陆续揭开帷幕，意味着万达酒店及度假村于2020年底将在全球持有并管理超过160家酒店。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
