婚宴市场大幅缩水，相关负责人看来，这并不是坏事。餐饮市场经过近年来的政策影响，格局出现重大变化，大众餐饮成为消费主力，鞭策着餐饮从业者调整思路，顺应需求，从而从根本上带动餐饮消费市场的提升。
连日来，记者采访了武汉9家五星级酒店，发现高档婚礼定单缩水，已是普遍现象。在汉口、光谷的多家高星级酒店，一些预算10万元至20万元左右的婚宴，不少被要求改为在私密包间进行，做成私人家宴形式。
徐东一家高星级酒店负责人坦承，这段时间退定情况时有发生，大部分客人的理由都是家里有公务员，不适合在五星级酒店高调办婚礼。
湖北省烹饪酒店行业协会介绍，虽然无法准确统计武汉的十几家五星级酒店损失了多少高价婚宴定单，但可以肯定的是，这个市场缩水了一半以上。
一家酒楼负责人表示，除了退定，婚宴操办桌数也比以前缩水。硚口一家连锁酒楼的大厨直言不讳地告诉记者，如今酒楼生意本就比以前难做，指望靠承包婚宴来提高营业额，恐怕越发艰难。
“原来预定四五十桌的婚宴，现在一下子缩减到十几桌，生意怎能不受影响?”雄楚大街一酒楼负责人颇感无奈说，自6月份以来便不断有顾客要求缩减婚宴桌数。
武汉餐饮协会表示，大型餐饮酒楼的婚宴生意虽不像星级酒店那样受“重创”，但操办低调从简亦是大势所趋，婚宴桌数缩减约两成。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
