2016年4月10-13日，由中国区华美达酒店分会主办的“第三届【中国区华美达酒店分会】总经理年会，暨(2015-2016年度)第二届(华美达·中国红)年度颁奖盛典”在无锡华美达广场酒店举办。
本届年会中，来自中国区华美达酒店分会的全国45家酒店的总经理及代表共约150位嘉宾出席本次年会，本次活动得到了全国各地广大旅游业者和酒店业者的大力支持和积极参与，亚太及国内的行业媒体积极参与报导，规模大、规格高、在国内酒店行业中刮起了一股红色的旋风。
在本届年会上，中国区华美达酒店分会宣布和多家渠道及客户平台的战略合作，精彩的跨界活动设计时装界和中超联赛，同时，第二届的华美达·中国红颁奖盛典也可谓是品牌中的奥斯卡盛典，旨在内部激励和提升品牌品质的华美达中国红颁奖盛典共角逐出酒店类、个人类、合作伙伴类奖项70项，真可谓精彩华美达，红遍大中华。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
