16日凌晨，据英国《金融时报》报道，万达集团在伦敦九榆区（Nine Elms）的“伦敦一号”酒店及住宅楼项目获得了平安银行提供的5亿英镑贷款。
“伦敦一号”是万达集团的首个海外房地产项目，建筑面积达2万平方米，最高建筑达203米。由于最初的承建商——英国建筑商Interserve与中国建筑集团的一家合资公司——中途退出，该项目的开发一度陷入停顿。
但在获得新贷款后，万达与英国最大建筑商Balfour Beatty签署了协议，后者成为“伦敦一号”项目新的承建商。Balfour Beatty曾承建英吉利海峡隧道，该集团计划在2019年底完成“伦敦一号”项目的建设工作。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
