2016年7月，开元旗下香港主板上市的开元产业信托以总价2.15亿元人民币的价格收购位于荷兰埃因霍温市的假日酒店。这次收购使得开元产业信托成为首家在欧美国家收购资产的香港上市房托，开创了香港资本市场的又一先河。
荷兰开元假日酒店-埃因霍温为一间位于荷兰埃因霍温的四星级酒店。该酒店总建筑面积约为111677平方米，坐落于市中心位置，在中央火车站的对面，由酒店步行至火车站北入口只需五分钟。此次收购的埃因霍温假日酒店共拥有206间客房、145个停车位、一个小型健身房、七间面积逾504平方米的会议室、一间酒吧、一间面积达180平方米的餐厅、一个面积达72平方米的室内游泳池及一个商务中心。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
