最近两三年,因为租金和人工成本的持续上涨,经济型酒店不再是一块香饽饽而是沦为一门利润微薄的生意,整个市场已经出现过剩,尤其是一二线城市。
麗枫是7天连锁酒店2013年从美国退市,更名为铂涛集团之后推出的一个中档品牌,当时共同推出的还有主打咖啡馆文化的喆·啡(James Joyce Coffeetel),时尚与社交文化的潮漫(ZMAX),之后还有针对女性人群的希岸(Xana Hotelle)。
在这之前,铂涛集团董事长郑南雁委托麦肯锡做过一项调查,调查显示,“2011年开始,中国消费者花在非必需品上的金额占个人总收入的比例首次上升”,这意味着人们不再满足于衣食住行等方面的基本需求,消费者选择酒店时会开始重视品牌形象、空间设计、服务细节等。
为了摆脱“7天”和“经济型”的标签,7天退市之后从一家经济型酒店公司转型为酒店创业平台,郑南雁没有让原来7天的人来主导这次转型,而是借助外部人士的力量进行品牌孵化,铂涛提供品牌发展所需的资金、人力、供应链以及会员体系支持。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
