12日，国家旅游局发布通知，宣布经全国旅游星级饭店评定委员会研究决定，取消全国范围内7家酒店的五星级旅游饭店资格。
据公告，此次取消的7家五星级旅游酒店分别为北京市港澳中心瑞士酒店、山西花园国际大酒店、湖北武汉新华大饭店、湖南华雅国际大酒店、广东东莞海悦花园大酒店、陕西西安阿房宫维景国际大酒店、陕西西安香格里拉金花大酒店。
7月底，国家旅游局便已通知取消了4家酒店的五星级旅游酒店资格，时隔一个多月，再度取消7家。北京商报曾报道，酒店之所以被摘星，在除却酒店自身的硬件设备、软件服务上没有达到复核资格之外，还有业内人士指出，由于星级酒店有严格的复核标准，在经营中相对不那么灵活，因此酒店自愿不再参加复核也成为不少酒店被摘星的原因。

The hotel is situated in a really old shanty pocket of Shanghai, but conveniently close to Sichuan North Road commercial area (shopping) and the former art district (culture including Luxun Museum etc.) and lines 4 (SH railway station convenient) and 10(?); through the latter one may reach line 2 with ease. The hotel is suitably clean for a local establishment though many of the appliances and cupboards are functionally sub-par. I stayed 2 nights and the cleaning service never came even when I asked for it which was amazing as I think I was the only guest at the hotel that time. The front desk staff are constantly asleep or look annoyed when you ask them for things (ie. cleaning service or whatever). The TV had horrible static though the internet was pretty fast. Overall, this is a hotel with a lot of potential (old building with a lot of original structures), but suffers from bad housekeeping and unprofessional general management and staff training.
